Hi all

New to this forum but not linux or knoppix... I have a burnt knoppix 3.6 cd, which has worked fine on other machines... but wont work on one which i need it.

The computer boots up... gets to the boot image page... then i press enter and it does a bit of hardware probing... and then stalls...

it stops on Looking for CDROM in: /dev/hda (which isnt my cdrom drive)

the last few lines b4 that were...

Scanning for USB/Firewire devices.... Done.
Enabling DMA acceleration for: hda [WDC blah blah]
Enabling DMA acceleration for: hdb [LTN525]
Looking for CDROM in: /dev/hda

and thats it... the same cd has worked on other machines b4... also on this one i notice that it was like in text mode boot up or something it didnt have any graphics to the boot process like other machines... but not concerned about that.

Cheers

Wolfsta :)
