Hello all together!

I need a linux distibution to make e.g. backups. Koppix 3.1 did regognize my burner and I could save my files, but it doesn't recognize my s-ata hdd. And it doesn't recognize my AVM Fritz!Card DSL , too.

Important for me:

- KDE 3.3
- Live-CD
- burner support
- s-ata support
- USB support
- AVM hardware-support
- Open Office 1.1

Which linux distribution does comply with these requirements?
Does it work with Knoppix 3.7?

I think you should give knoppix 3.7 a try:

- KDE 3.3
included

- Live-CD
obviously true

- burner support
yes

- s-ata support
yes, if it doesn't work, try 'knoppix26' at the boot prompt (perhaps kernel 2.6. is needed for s-ata)

- USB support
yes

- AVM hardware-support
probably, Fritz Cards are pretty common in Germany ;-)

- Open Office 1.1
yes

That sounds nice, thank you.

"probably". :? That's important for me that this works.

Knoppix 3.7 is great!

S-ATA works without problems :)

Only my Fritz!Card doesn't work.

Try kanotix as it supports AVM Fritz.
