Network Problem

I recently installed on hard disk the last knoppix distro, i configured an static network adress, it seems that it's allright but... in a few hours the network doesn't work, but if i reconfigure the network, it works well.

I've 2 ideas that its happening:

1 knoppix activate an hirbernation mode and disconnect my network.
2 knoppix lose DNS.

- i don't know how it solve this trouble, i'll be granted that someone give me a hand.
