I have a question about using fromhd
It works great on my system with a FAT32 partition.
I know that tohd won't work on NTFS but if I took a folder created by tohd from a FAT32 partition and moved it to a NTFS system, would Knoppix be able to boot to it since most Linux distros can READ NTFS nowadays?

Hi Sam,

The basic answer to your question is yes.

You can use Windoze to copy the big KNOPPIX file from the KNOPPIX directory of the CD to a directory called KNOPPIX under the root directory of an NTFS partition. (Note the capital letters must be maintained).

You can now boot up with your CD-ROM but at the prompt can now use bootfrom to access the Hard Drive copy of Knoppix. (fromhd does not work with NTFS).

If you do not want to boot using your CD-ROM then consider doing a Poor Man's Install for Windows NTFS.
