Network Proxy Probs

Hi Im a Linux newbe i have just installed knoppix and tried to set up on my School network i can get in the internet with monzila but not with Konqueror i think this has to do withe the fact that the network requests authentication and in the Konqueror proxy menu the authorization menu is shaded off so i cant chaneg any of the varables. in monzila it just comes up with a password prompt.
any help woud be brill
