Adding Software

Is it possible to add various software to the CD or am I limited to whatever the CD contains?
Is it the same for all of the 'Linux from CD' variants?

Could you possibly add the software to your windows partition, then use the CD operating system to retrieve those files and compile them?

You can also remaster your own version, not as difficult as it sounds. Remastering from http://featherlinux.berlios.de is quite simple as it's small so you can add almost anything.
