I have files on my Suse Box that I would like to move over to my windows box and reinstall Suse. The problem I am having is that knoppix tells me that I do not have enough permissions to read access my root folder on the hard drive. I would like to know how whould i go about giving me read/write permissions to the root folder in my suse hard drive in knoppix? BTW the files are like movies and things like that.

First off, why don't you use your SuSE CD's to recover your SuSE installation? There's a "Manual Install" menu point from where you can boot your SuSE installation from CD.

Anyway, you probably haven't submitted enough information that anyone can help you. What steps exactly have you done until you got the error messages?
