Hi, I have just reinstalled windows to my HDD on partition hda1, with Debian being on hda2 and the Linux swap file being on hda3.
I specified LILO as the boot manager, but when I boot it, it just has the message : L 04 04 04 04 04 which keeps
repeating over and over again, no boot manager comes up.

Apologies if this has been covered already, but I did do a search but to no avail.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks in advance

Mark

Error code 04 means "sector not found" according to the LILO man page. You've probably not installed LILO correctly (did you issue "lilo" to install the boot loader?). But without knowing of what exactly you've done and without knowledge of your /etc/lilo file and disk layout it hard to tell...
