get not valid block device errors....
Did you check the md5 sum of the iso before before burning?
If it was good, did you try using the nodma cheat code?
Did you burn the CD at a nice safe speed like 4x, or as fast as your burner will go (and guess which one I think gets significantly better results)?

I'm not sure what you are saying. Who's reply gets screwed up? If you look at the forum, is your response what you intened it to be? If not are you using the preview feature to review what you are about to post before you post? I have never seen complaints of this nature before (maybe the people having your problem have not been aboe to post?). If you do figure out what it is that is giving a problem please try to post about it.

If your response is what you intended, I see no way that it relates to the questions I asked. If the questions I asked make no sense to you then you didn't seem to ask about them in your response.

You may want to read the Downloading faq reached by the documentation link at the top of his page.

My response to your original post is still the same:

The most important is Did you check the md5 sum of the iso before before burning? There is information about md5 in the downloading faq or you can do a simple Google search.

If it was good, did you try using the nodma cheat code? Once you know that you have a good file the nodma cheat code sometimes help boot problem CD drives. It doesn't fix anything if the md5 checksum is wrong and the file is corrupted.

Did you burn the CD at a nice safe speed like 4x, or as fast as your burner will go (and guess which one I think gets significantly better results)? We've seen over and over again that burns done at high speed might work and they might not, and they might work on some systems but not others. Burning at a slow speed is important. The nodma cheat code above does not take the place of burning at a slow spped, and burning at a slow speed will not address the issue of drives that need the nodma cheat code. Sometime both are needed. And the iso always has to be good, which is confirmed by the md5.
