My goal is to buy a refurbished laptop running Knoppix, OpenOffice and other individual productivity software (games, music). I want to liberate myself from Windows XP SP2 by shifting to Knoppix.

Are there vendors out there who specialize in loading Knoppix on a refurbished laptop and selling it as a system?

Please share any pointers.

:D

*Linux Certified, the 3rd link, lists refurbs at their site. As far as loading knoppix you'll have to
check with the vendors. I suspect that they'd prefer to install debian. Less support headaches?

I like Apple's ibook & powerbook but linux on ppc is way behind x86
