I have two machines, one older and my linux machine, and a new one both have DLink DE503+ DEC Tulip based NIC cards.

Both exhibt the SAME BEHAVIOR when booting V3.8 CeBit the HARD LOCKUP if I allow DHCP or use netcardconfig.

I have tried NO APM, PCMCIA, APIC=off etc. with no sucess the ONLY WAY to boot to an working enviroment, sans network, is NODHCP.

lspci, dmesg, and miitool info follows:

These work GREAT in V3.7 under 2.4.x Kernel, I was hoping I could upgrade to the latest and greatest even on my ancient K6 with the 2.6.x Kernel but thats not looking promosing.

Any one have any suggestions.
