hi and help!
I use kppp to connect to the net. kppp works fine, as root and as normal user.
BUT: kppp lets you execute a script after connecting. This works only if I use this option as root, not as normal user. In this case the script does not seem to be executed at all. This may be a problems of permissions. .. I could not get it out. -> help!

The task is to connect to the internet and imediately after it may send a mail with the actual IP-number.
The script goes:
ifconfig | mutt -s IP-number my-friend@postbox.de

I do not want to use dyndns, because the computer is rarely connected to the net, so the dyndns-name expires.
The user of the pc is computer illiterate and uses her machine just for text editing...
