everything in my screen is HUGE! knoppix does not offer 1280 x 1024 by default, but i know a single editting can make it 1280 x 1024. which file enables this?

interesting you say it does not by default, my knoppix ( 3.7 ) auto runs in 1280 x 1024 ?

how do i use the cheat code?

when i go to configure my desktop, it is set to 1024 x 768 by default. and that is the largest it can go up to.

is there a file i can go into and enable it to 1280 x 1024 by default, so i can burn myself another copy of knoppix?

everything is so large that i have to sit 3 feet away from my screen so that my eyes do not feel funny.

to change your screen, you need to
su and then
kxconfig
