when i run Xawtv from the terminal it gives me the following message/errors:

the configure TV card and config tv channels 'programs' did not work for me.. so i created a .xawtv file in the home directory it reads..
norm = PAL
capture = on
source = Television
freqtab = pal-europe
pixsize = 128 x 96
jpeg-quality = 75
[Five]
channel = 37
fine = +3
key=5
..the card is the only thing found using a xawtv -hwscan (type:v41, name:bttv video, flags:overlay capture tuner).. and its a hauppauge win TV Go.. 878 chipset.. i'm in the UK and its a PAL-I (?) card.. with an aerial for terrestrial analogue
normally Xawtv just loads and displays snow in the top 5th of the window and black the rest of it.. when i change capture to 'grabdisplay' (and enter/exit fullscreen mode) it gives snow across the whole screen.
i'm a bit of a linux n00b and i'd really like to get the tv card working with the knoppix live CD.. is anyone able to help me out a little please? any more info u need just ask :)
