View Full Version : Als4000 detected not working

hi.. i'm a stupid new user for linux.. this is the first time that i use any other oS other than windows.. anyway my als4000 soundcard is detected but not working.. i'v looked in the other forum's topics that talked in this issue and i didn't understand anything.. can anyone just tell me one easy file to download a zip or an installition file that i would just extract and run? thanx for ur help.. if u didn't.. well thanx for gicing the time to read my problem :cry:
ps. if u know another way that's a bit hard plz post it with an easy way and language.. cuase as i said. i'm a bit stupid:D

I just played with one of these recently in win98se
have NOT tried this file...... good luck

well i download the .rpm file and opened it with Kpackage.. but when i tried to install there were 1 item.. alsa-driver.. i tried to install the alsa driver it opened a new window and asked me for a password to Root Login.. i didn't set any password for anything.. dunno what to do here...
ohh and thanx so much for helping me in this.. i can't use a pc without mp3s...


EDIT: Ok thanx all the soundcard is now working.. i just opened with the beta kernel..
