Display out of range on Philips LCD

I am new to Knoppix and now testing the V3.7, the first problem I encounter is the display problem, my 15" LCD warns out of range of 1024x768@60Hz, I can only boot from 800x600 no matter how I change the boot config, the same problem also on some Sony LCD, please advise.
