Knoppix 3.8 noswap

Is noswap automatically set on boot in Knoppix 3.8?

When I boot from Live CD I don't get a chance to type in "knoppix noswap" and I want to make sure that none of the HD's are being written to.

Knoppix will automatically use a linux swap file if it finds one one the hd but will not create one if there is not one already existing.

Actually, I was using an old VGA and it wasn't displaying the color of the boot text. Everything works fine.
