Wireless with averatect 3200

I found a reference to an averatect laptop of the make and model that i have at this link.. http://www.ccs.neu.edu/home/gene/averatec-linux.html and i am completely dumb as to how to get my wireless up and working.. i have never used knoppix before yesterday and i kind of need step by step instructions on how to set up my wireless internet on my laptop using knoppix... anyone feel like helping me out a little bit?
