Knoppix 3.8.1 kernel panics on ThinkPad 600E

When I boot with Knoppix 3.8.1 on a ThinkPad 600E, I get a kernel panic. I've tried "failsafe", but that also panics. Thoughts?

Found an answer after a bit more searching the forums. This worked:


boot: knoppix pnpbios=off
