I'm building a computer and i have everything almost picked out. But I want to get a 939 socket instead of a 754 socket. so far I want to get a DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra for 939 or a Asus k8n-e deluxe which is linux compatible. However, I don't know if the dfi is linux compatible. I want to get either a amd atholon 64 +3500, +3700 (754 or 939), or a +3800. if any one knows if the dfi is linux comoatible that would be great. And if any body knows of a better mobo than the two that I listed that is under $180. I like the dfi, but it could over clock more and could have more dstance between the cpu and the vedio card and the ram (zelman heat sink),and could have more firewire ports. I like alot of fetures like the built in 10/100/1000 lan and the nvida fire wall so something with alot of cool stuff would be nice. I allready purchesd a creative blaster audigy2 zs gamer ed. (linux compatible) but I don't know about the two 120gig samsung spinpoint sata150's that I got. here is the rest of my computer componits, I need to change the video card. the system will be a win lin dual boot with either redhat 9, suse 9.2 pro, or fedora 1 or 3. witch one is best?
the list, could somebody please help me figure which are lin compatible, that would be sweet:
