Hiya guys, I've just been playing with Knoppix for the first time today, but so far, i've not been able to get any sound. I'm a complete newb at Linux and any guidance would be really useful.
I'm not sure what info you will need, but post back if you have a moment spare. cheers :-)

After reading another post it was recommended to post one of these logs. I hope this helps. AikenDrum

Can you post the output of lsmod as well? The output you posted was the output of what Knoppix has detected on your PCI controller, the lsmod command will output all the "modules" that are loaded with Knoppix - "modules" are required - like drivers in Windows - to "understand" how to communicate with some hardware, like your audio / sound card. Some modules, in the case of sound servers, can "knock out" other sound servers modules, and the outcome is, no sound.
