Hi everyone:

I've been using Knoppix since ver 3.7 and I've been enable to boot it in my computer.

When I used 3.7 I needed to use the cheat noapic and I wouldn't get any kind of error. Now, using 3.8.x I don't need to use any cheat to boot. However, I receive some error in the start-up.

Whenever I use or not a cheat code and the penguin appear in the corner I got:

ACPI:BIOS age (2001) fails cut off (2002), acpi=force is required to enable ACPI
Audit (1117144935.264:0): initialized

(That 1117144935xx number always change every time I boot)

then everything boots normal, but in the part where is says: “Testing Firewire etc.” I get:

mobprob:FATAL: could not read '/lib/modules/2.6.11/kernel/drivers/input/tsdev.kno': Not a directory

ten times

I've tried acpi=force and it sees that cheat doesn't exist
I've tried acpi=off and that takes care of the BIOS age (2001) error but not the mobprob fatal error.

My computer is a HP 7966 Pentium 1.7GHz 256K cache
768 MB RAM
Radeon 9600Pro 128Mb
I went to the BIOS screen and I found:
Core Version 6.0
BIOS Version 3.10 10/23/02

I have the output of
dmesg|grep hd
dmesg
lspci
lspci -n

if someone needs them. I have two sets of outputs. One using no cheats and the other set is using:

knoppix bootfrom=/dev/hda2/kno38.iso noprompt xmodule=radeon screen=1152x864
