Using 'knoppix-installer' script 3-14 on CD, everything goes well until reboot. WinXP on primary, Knoppix on ext. part. SUSE 9.3 wrote to mbr fine in previous test run. Backed up track 0 and mbr with MBRTOOL for safety. Used Paragon Hard disk Manager v6.0 to monitor partitions. Installs well using beginner option in script but on reboot goes directly iinto XP. The floppy is formatted and written to but won't boot. When I use DocsBoot floppy and boot into knoppix it begins with GRUB in edit mode 'grub>'. The obvious would be to pass boot params to GRUB and, once in, install GRUB to mbr but why is script failing?
