View Full Version : Booting from a usb 2.0 cd-rw drive?

I wanted to know whether this was possible as my pc has a broken cd drive, I am a complete noob, and I sure as heck dont know programming, and help will be loved.

If it helps its a Maddog CDRW 52X32X52

Not all BIOSs can boot from a USB drive. The best advice we can give you is to check your BIOS to see if the USB device can be put into the boot order. If it can, make the setting and try it. If it;s not in your BIOS than I don't know of a way that you can do it.

If it;s not in your BIOS than I don't know of a way that you can do it. The only option that seems to be of an relevance on my BIOS is a boot first: USB FDD option, do you think that will work?
