Recovery from Windows Registry error.

Windows crashed with some sort of Registry error and I can't boot. I can load the KNOPPIX CD and view my files. Is there a way to fix the registry or force it to revert to an earlier working Registry using KNOPPIX?

Unless you had the foresight to not install XP to an NTFS partition, the the registery is on an NTFS partition which Knoppix cannot safely write to. So my answer would be no.
