Hi,
I was asked to do a hard drive install of Knoppix 3.7 - from the 'Knoppix-installer' cmd, I followed instructions and made sure in QTparted to first put on Prim Partition of ext3 type followed by the Linux swap (no other OS is on the HDD). After the install, a reboot will only take me to the limited command 'grub' prompt.
I can start Knoppix by using:
- kernel /vmlinuz root=/dev/hda1
- boot
Is there a way to automate the process so these cmd's don't have to be run every time and the OS will boot by itself?
The Desktop PC is a D51S Compaq Intel 2.4Ghz, 256MB 266DDR ram, on-board video, WD 40 GB HDD
Any info is greatly appreciated!
