isolinux disk error

I can boot knoppix 3.2 fine....but any version above that generates an isolinux disk error message
immediately as the CD would kick in to load. In ver 3.2 it brings up a help screen in case you need to tweak parameters ( i need 800x600 res) before booting X

WAnted to make a boot floppy but I dont have much linux experience to generate one thru command line. Could not locate kde bootmaker as referenced in a book I just bought.


Any suggestions ?

If it is, the problem you are experiencing may be caused by incompatibility between the media and the CD-ROM drive. The solution is to 1) verify that the image you have downloaded is good by checking the md5 hash, 2) burn a new CD using a verified ISO image, and 3) burn slowly, i.e. < 8x. Another possibility is to use a different vendor of CD-RWs.
