Nice line of Graphics Cards out there from XGI (WWW.XGITECH.COM). Quality at cheap prices !

I have a XGI Volari V3. Very high performance for the price. With the driver, Windows XP runs it great.

BUT, Knoppix or straight Debian can't seem to deal with it well, and GUI runs all grainy & dimmed.

Too bad cause it outperforms similar class NVidia or ATI cards, and it has TV, DVI and CRT outputs, not to mention 128 MB Ram & AGP 8X (http://www.xgitech.com/products/products_2.asp?P=4). All for less than USA-$40 (bought six months ago) !

Absurd to buy Nividia or ATI at twice the price as i'm not interested in gaming.

Can't seem to find information on the net. Of course I tried contacting XGI directly, but the contact page seems to be iffy.
Their support page has this weird thing about SUSE or Redhat as if they're the only relevant distros :-(
