Screen Size and Color Depth on installed Knoppix

Hi,

Ii installed Knoppix on my HD and realize that my screen parameters are wrong. I cant change screensize over 1024x768 and frequenz under 70hz. I could change it on CD-Booting with bootparameters screen=1280x1024 depth=24 vrefresh=60 ...

but how to do that on the installed version??? Any changes in boot/grub/menu.lst didn't help :(
