boot completly without X?

Is there any boot cheat to boot knoppix completly without any X windows?

I just tried to run knoppix on a very very old P1@200mhz laptop,

it's simply to old to run an X system, all i want and need is a working
console..?

I tried it with the "desktop=fluxbox|gnome|icewm|kde|larswm|twm|wmaker| xfce" option to minimize the X, but even wmaker was too much..?

And yes i used the search option& google, nothing really helped...

Hello, simply type "knoppix 2" at the boot prompt. This will start linux to runlevel two, or console mode.
