Deafult Firefox

This may sound stupid but hear me out...

I've downloaded the Microsoft Core Fonts and they installed fine and in Firefox I have all the options to use them but the problem is the Firefox deafults to its Linux fonts thus, not taking advantage of the now avaible new fonts.

Question is does anyone know how I should go about telling Firefox to use the new fonts when webpages etc call for them as opposed to using the deafult fonts?

I think FireFox "does it's own thing" and does not use fonts in the same manner as other applications. See this link to a gentoo linux guide http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Xorg_and_Fonts#Mozilla_Firefox_and_Thunderbi rd where they indicate how to change the fonts in the prefs.js file.
