i have 2 computers 1 knoppix works on the other it doesnt! ! On the 1 it doesnt work on u put the disk in and it knows it stays on the bit where it boots from a cd but when i remove it it says please insert . . . . .. the usal rubbish is it to do with my system is not good enought ? ? fanx 4 da help[/img]

We need more info. Look at your request for help from my point of view: I have no idea what your system is like. Is it s laptop? A server? A desktop? On what hardware? Pentium4-3.0GHz? Pentium3 700Mhz? What version of knoppix? What is the exact error message?

Without more info there is no possible way any of us can help you.

I understand the problem now my bios is not compatible with boot from cd is there anyway i can boot it from dos etc. or boot disk ? ? thanks for your help

A: Get the Smart Boot Manager, and install to floppy, this should let you boot from any bootable CD. http://btmgr.sourceforge.net/download.html. If you want to install from windows, download the sbminst.exe and run it from the Command Prompt like :
sbminst.exe -d 0 to install to floppy drive.
