Knoppix4.0 - by installing to HD - can't write to HD

I would like to install live CD to HD with knoppix -installer, but I get a message "opened disk read-only - you have no premission to write".
What can I do?

Were you running the installation script "knoppix-installer"?
Did you run it as root?
