I am attempting to load Knoppix 3.8.1 on a Compaq Presario 2200 laptop. The same image works fine on my Dell desktop. The main problem is that the Knoppix load sequence hangs on the line "Starting X11". This is probably a problem wiht graphics hardware, I have heard.
Is there any fix for this? My laptop has integrated video. I have used various cheatcodes (noscsi, noapsci, screen=1024x768, depth=32, xvrefresh=60, xhrefresh=80...) to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. I like what I see on my desktop and want to get this working on my laptop.
