I'm going to buy a laptop rather cheap with great fast new parts, all except the video card. the vid card is onlt 64mb, which ain't to shabby, but i want something a bit faster....I know there are PCMCIA video IN cards (tv cards...etc.)...but are there PCMCIA video cards that like....make your video ram happy and bigger?

Not that I know of. There is however a movement among the video HW manufacturers to standardize on a card/slot form-factor for laptops. If this is done, it would mean that you could pop out an old video card & then pop in a new video card, much like how it is done on today's PCs with APG or PCI-e slots. I do not follow laptops too closely, you will have to investigate if they have begun to move to a standard.
