It Used to Be A Simple CD ISO Download!

I started using knoppix with version 2.4.It used to be a CD download with almost everything you need trown in. Now it is version 4 and it is now a bloated DVD.
My point is why was it decided to use a dvd instead of multiple cds? I myself would prefer a basic cd with 1 or 2 optional cds.

Because of many updates and technical improvements in the meantime since the 4.0 DVD, work on the Knoppix "light" CD release has been delayed somewhat. The CD version will be released in a few days from now, and will also be available for download at the usual locations on the KNOPPIX Mirrors soon.

unionfs is broken again, but not as heavily as in 3.9. If you install certain packages with dpkg or apt-get, a kernel oops can happen, though it doesn't freeze the system. This is quite bad for people (like me) who like to test-install new software on the live system, so because of this (and the prior reported bugs) there will be a hotfix of the 4.0.2 DVD soon (probably even before I get a chance to finish the CD).
