where do I go to view my internet settings on knoppix? anyone know?

Are you looking for the shell command (terminal command) ifconfig? You might want to review the man page for ifconfig to see the options, and maybe get some hints of other commands too.

no... I just want to view my internet settings....I don't want to configure it or anything....

do you like mean, what your IP is? (you can find that in ControlCenter), or what provider you are with (that i dont know... but many web thingys where you find what your IP address usually tell you what provider you are with... not every single one though)

or how many bytes you are getting in per second (or out per sec), well... if you use firestarter (its a firewall), it tells you... but other than that... i would not know...
