Do any of the knoppix versions recognize and autoconfigure a wireless network card automatically, like it does other hardware? (i.e. sound/video/ethernet)

If not, how many steps would I have to go through after every reboot, to get it working?

I also have a Netgear WG511T PCMCIA card for my IBM Thinkpad and it works well with Knoppix.
