Copying / Pasting Files

Well, I got by the permissions problem that i was having, but now I am encountering a new problem.

I am transferring about 100GB worth of files from an old HD to a new one, and i find that after maybe 5 - 20 minutes, the message at the bottom says "Stalled", and the transfer seems to just come to a dead stop. is there something i'm doing wrong here? or is it just a problem with the particular file that it stalls on?

never mind this post ... i just did a search, and found that someone has had the same problem ... so, i will just have ti transfer between hard drives little chunks at a time (which is gonna suck).

even though no one actually helped me on this one, i still would like to to say thanx!
