Needed Linux drivers for HP 3970 scanner

Does anyone have or know where to aquire linux drivers for an HP 3970 Scanner. It seems that I am unable to source this anywhere at the moment so any help will be appreciated.

usualy you can use sane to run most scanners, i have no idea about your particular scanner but try that.
EDIT seems 3970 are NOT suported by SANE. hmm, /EDIT
