Network adapter freezes knoppix during setup. Help!

:shock: Since I use cable internet I had to install an ethernetcard (realtek RTL8139) and..........Knoppix dies during hardware configuring.
What can I do? (Boot command: Knoppix nonothing doesn't work :roll: )

Try to boot with failsafe xvrefresh=60 for minimal hardware detection.
