locks up on startup

Hi,

I just d/l and burned knoppix 4.0.2. My problem is that when knoppix is booting up, it locks up at eth0 part. It will say broadcasting for IP. But wont continue on. It should boot with or with out finding a network right? Thanks for any help.

Knoppix boots with a splash screen. At that splash screen you can enter codes which will force Knoppix to do certan things. Theses codes are known as Cheat Codes (http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Cheat_Codes). The one you need is nodhcp, and you will boot the PC with:
knoppix nodhcp

Will this disable the DHCP when you will be fully loaded in the graphic environment ?
