hi

on my third hdinstall, i was trying to change paper size from a4 to ltr. in process i munged the install back to german. then, brilliantly, uninstalled it. <applause>

seem unable to re-install:
knop2:~>> apt-get install openoffice-de-en
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Package openoffice-de-en has no available version, but exists in the database.
This typically means that the package was mentioned in a dependency and
never uploaded, has been obsoleted or is not available with the contents
of sources.list
E: Package openoffice-de-en has no installation candidate

is there a way to re-do the openoffice install?? i can always go back and re-do everything from the cdrom.

thanks in advance

You could try

apt-cache search openoffice
to see what packages are available

Some packages on the cd are not official debian packages, (about 50 of them) and I think openoffice-de-en is one of them
