printer not installed

Hello all
Running Knoppix 3.9 from CD all seems to work OK
BUT, the CUPSSERVER does not work/is not (correctly?) installed; I cannot print with my HP DESKJET 845C (printerlst not accessible)

I'm printing normally as well in Win XP as in UBUNTU Breezy

I need to demonstrate Knoppix in my eveningclass (with Winadepts) and I would like to show that all is working OK

Any Help?
