system architecture...

even i am starting to get annoyed with all of my questions, but if i dont know then i wont be able to becom a linux enthusiest...
well heres my question...

what architecture to i download software for...

PC stats:
2.5 GHz Pentium 4 processor...
512 MB RAM...
GeForec4 MX420 Graphics card with 64MB video memory...


this would really help me in actually downloading the software, all i need to do now is learn how to install the software...
