Hi folks,

I'm trying to use knoppix to debug the ubuntu installation on my laptop. I haven't been able to get ubuntu to make a successful internet connection through any of my ethernet/wifi pcmcia cards (ibm etherjet, xircom 10mips ethernet, d-link dwl-650+ wifi). I started up knoppix and, voila! both the ethernet cards work perfectly (haven't tried the wifi yet). Now I would like somehow to make use of this information, but I can't figure out how the networking info is stored, etc. for instance, /etc/network/interfaces has no eth0 entry. So, what tools does knoppix use tset up the network, and will I be ableto use them on a regular debian/ubuntu installation?

thanks,

Matt
