How to change resolution to 1600X1200X32@85 Knoppix 4.0.2

Can it be done? I have an NEC MultiSync FE2111SB 21" Flat Screen Monitor the looks devine @ 1600X1200X32 @85Hz, and I need to know how to set my Knoppix Live CD to do this. Any help would be most welcome. TIA. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Can it be done?
Probably. It depends on if your hardware might be capable under Knoppix. Look at the following link: http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Cheat_Codes Look for cheatcodes that might have to do with Graphics configuration. Make sure your display adaptor is correctly identified. Experiment with different cheatcode combinations. You might get there with a simple "knoppix screen=1600x1200" and then you might have to add others in combination. Be sure to note the syntax described in the link.

ATI Radeon 9700 Pro.
SOYO KT880 Dragon 2 v2.0 MOBO.
AMD Athlon XP 2400+
1GB Crucial PC2700 DDR Ram.
Knoppix 4.0.2 Live CD.

Knoppix detects the 9700 Pro with no known issues. So I hope things will work smoothly. Will post results in the morning.
