Hi guys!

Yesterday i installed the latest nvidia driver for my 6600 GT. After i edited the xf86config-4 i made "init 5" and the driver ran very nice. Later i turned off the computer. On the next day i startet it and the logo of the nvidia driver is not shown as usually. The picture is scrached and the computer stops starting.

How can i get the command shell? How can i repair it?

Thank you for your reply...

It's good to copy your working copy of xf86 to xf86config-old before you make changes.
Anyway to get a shell do alt+ctrl+F1 then type " dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86"
You can also just use a text editor to view your xf86 and see if one of the modules that
the nvidia driver wants deleted is still active see the nvidia README.
Hope that helps
