It is an old hat, but no solution has yet been posted.
The question:
How does one get the Binatone ADSL 500 USB modem to work under Knoppix 4.0?
The idea: work the external USB modem in the same way as it does under winxp.
The PC recognizes as much of the modem :
from usbview:
class 255, vendor ID 0x509 (Aztech systems), product ID 0x80f vers. 0.01
Maufacturer 68396021
found on Bus 001, dev 002, ID 0509:080f Aztechsystems
I tried:
adslconfig -> asks me for stuff regarding an ethernet card, that I do not (yet) have.
What is missing? What needs doing to have the Internet singing and dancing with
this kit and Knoppix 4.0?
Best Regards,
Bernd.
