8) Hello All, my first time on this forum.

I have an quad Opteron 2 x Dual Core CPU's, on 4MB of Ram, and SATA II - 800GB on a 3Ware 9550SX RAID controller.
Problem is I cannot get Knoppix to install/boot from HDA becasue the OS doesn't have the new 9550SX driver, only the older 3w-xxxx driver which cannot bwe used here.

Can some kindly explain in a step by step approach how to install the OS with the 3w-9xxx modules. The 3ware CD has a source code module, but not the correct kernel that Knoppix uses. This machine is for motion research amoungst a couple of us, and we need assitance.

Inclosed is out lspci and oter /proc stuff that may assist.

Sorry to misinform.
But we just found that our DVD version 4 of Knoppix does indeed have the required module but apparently it is not being loaded at boot time.

Can someone kindly suggest how to include the module 3w-9xxx.ko at boot time?
In a step by step approach.

Thanking you.
